Scouting and Survey Escorts

Where it is possible to undertake marine operations without the complete removal of fishing gear, we provide vessels to verify pre-agreed clearance corridors or to guide surveys so that they can avoid interaction with fishing gears.

We focus as far as possible on recruiting vessels that are endemic to the area of operation. Skippers of these vessels have high levels of local knowledge and expertise that can often be crucial to a smooth-running operation. Where that is not possible, the selected scout or escort boat will maintain strong communication links with fishing activity in the area.

Alternatively, where it is appropriate, we can provide offshore fisheries liaison officers to guide surveys directly from the survey ship.
